Job summary

Blue Zoo Production is seeking an Environment Designer to develop set environments from rough concepts to final approved designs under the Art Director’s supervision. You will explore references, align with story and staging needs, and contribute to a collaborative creative process.

Based in the UK, you will produce detailed drawings, liaise with Design and Asset Departments, and manage timelines to deliver high-quality environments that support the show’s visual storytelling.

Qualifications

• Portfolio showing diverse environment designs that support storytelling.
• Ability to present clear, purposeful work and rationale.
• Strong knowledge of color, lighting, value, and composition.
• Experience with 3D production workflows is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed environment drawings at correct scale for sets.
• Collaborate with Design and Asset Departments.
• Interpret concepts and support teammates as needed.
• Manage assets and time to meet deadlines.
• Research exploratory sketches aligned with brief, story, and staging.
