Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum + private health, life assurance, 25 days holiday & pension

Hours: 8am to 5.15pm

Location: Commutable from Crawley, Horsham, East Grinstead, Redhill, Croydon, Brighton and surrounding areas

A leading manufacturing company is looking for a Stores Person to join their highly successful and growing team.

Responsibilities:

1. The role reports into the Stores Supervisor, and the successful candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse/Stores environment with electrical/electronic and/or mechanical widgets, preferably ranging in size and type, such as fixings, washers, filters, machined metal parts, fine glassware, motors, ducting, fans, control units, and lengths of extrusion. This includes: Goods In, Picking Parts, Put Away & Stock movement/checks.
2. You will receive induction training to understand all the functions of the Production areas, including training on Navision, the computerised MRP stock system, and the carousel storage systems.
3. The role will require you to:
1. Pick electrical and mechanical parts to a printed picking list, booking from stock using the computerised MRP system, creating shortage lists, and organising picked parts for the assembly department.
2. Drive counter-balance fork truck, using stackers and pallet trucks, unloading and loading of lorries, and putting stock away.
3. Re-stock internal stock bins to fulfil Kanban requirements.
4. Receive goods, checking quantity and quality, and booking in using the MRP system.
5. Pick parts for spares orders, with careful handling of fragile/expensive parts.
6. Count stock items, identify parts, and assist with reconciliation.
7. Assist, when required, with packing finished systems onto pallets.
8. Packing spares orders into cardboard boxes for UPS collection when required.
9. Drive a range of company vans and cars for collection and delivery of various parts when required.
10. Occasional light mechanical assembly work.

Requirements:

1. Maths & English GCSE C grade or equivalent.
2. Must be computer literate and have experience with computerised stock systems.
3. Current or expired Counter Balance Fork lift licence is desirable.
4. Previous experience working in a warehouse/Stores environment with electrical/electronic and/or mechanical widgets.
