Job summary

Masstemps Ltd is seeking a Stores Supervisor to manage the day-to-day running of the stores and warehouse on the day shift. You will supervise the stores team, receive deliveries, check paperwork and keep stock organised.

You will be responsible for stock records, regular checks, and coordinating with Production, Purchasing and Operations. Forklift licence is essential, and Excel skills help manage stock data.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores, warehouse or stock control, ideally at supervisor level.
• Strong stock/inventory management understanding.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage and support a team.
• Capable under pressure and prioritise tasks.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Forklift licence - essential.
• Manufacturing or engineering experience is a bonus.
• Knowledge of 5S, Lean or Continuous Improvement beneficial.
• Hands-on attitude.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily running of stores and warehouse.
• Supervise and support stores team.
• Receive deliveries and check paperwork.
• Store materials safely and organise stock locations.
• Pick and issue materials to production.
• Prepare and dispatch goods as required.
• Keep stock records accurate in the company stock system.
• Carry out regular stock checks and investigate differences.
• Monitor stock levels and request new stock as needed.
• Maintain clean, tidy warehouse and correct labeling.
• Work with Production, Purchasing and Operations.
• Train and support stores staff.
• Follow Health & Safety and quality procedures.
• Daily safety checks and report issues.
• Safely operate forklifts and other handling equipment.
• Help improve stores processes and stock control.
