Job summary

Dunster House Ltd in Dudley is seeking a Stores Person to support stores operations at the Dudley branch. You will load/unload goods, pick and pack deliveries, and ensure accurate paperwork and stock control.

Maintain a tidy, safe stores area and assist with stock checks to support production and delivery teams. The role runs Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day, with a salary of £26,437–£27,477 per annum and 29 days holiday including bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in stores/warehouse operations.
• Licence or training for reach truck or counter-balance forklift preferred.
• Good manual handling skills required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles are loaded correctly and weights match delivery notes.
• Check that items for delivery are picked and loaded correctly.
• Ensure correct paperwork is completed and marked off.
• Unload, receive and check goods and place in stores areas.
• Assist with weekly stock checks and keep stores tidy.
• Complete relevant paperwork and follow company policies.
• Ensure forklift safety at all times.
• Pick and issue goods for collections.
• Issue goods from stores to production staff.
• Receive and store goods produced.

The Role:

This job is based out of our Dudley Branch – DY5 1QA and is responsible for preparing orders and supporting smooth stores operations through efficient handling of goods.

Role Overview:

• Ensure vehicles are loaded correctly and the weights comply with Vehicle and Operator Services Agency (weights are printed on delivery notes and it is dispatch and driver who checks them)
• Check that all items for delivery are picked and loaded correctly (Pick, check and load all items for deliveries)
• Ensure all correct paperwork is marked off accordingly
• Unloading, receiving and checking the goods correctly and placing in the relevant stores area under routine system
• Assisting with weekly stock checks and maintaining and tidiness of the stores area
• Completion of relevant paperwork and adhering to company policy and procedure
• Ensuring safety at all times while driving the forklift
• Pick and issue goods for collections
• Issue goods from stores to production staff
• Receive and store goods made by production

Requirements:

• Stores/warehouse experience
• Reach/Counter balance experience/licence is desirable
• Manual handling skills

• Monday – Friday, 8 hours per day, between the hours of 07:30 – 18:00
