Job summary

WP Recruitment is seeking a Stores Person for a manufacturing site in Ryde, Isle of Wight. The role runs 7am to 4.45pm, Monday to Thursday, on a 37-hour week, with a duration of 3-6 months and possible temp-to-perm for the right candidate.

You'll receive deliveries, pick and issue materials, manage stock, and help with inventory while adhering to health and safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience preferred in manufacturing/engineering.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Able to work well in a team and on own initiative.
• Physically fit for manual handling.

Duties

• Receiving incoming deliveries and checking goods against delivery notes
• Picking and issuing materials for production or customer orders
• Manual handling, stock control and assisting with inventory checks, general housekeeping
• Adherence to health and safety, quality standards and schedules

Experience

• Must have previous warehouse experience preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment
• Must have good attention to detail with numeracy and literacy skills
• Must be able to work well as a team, as well as on own initiative to instruction and schedules
• Must be physically fit due to the nature of manual handling duties

Salary: £13.00 per hour worked
