Job description

Staffpower Group is recruiting for a Stores Person role based in Newcastle Upon Tyne for an international engineering company.

Responsibilities:
  1. Adhere to company procedures.
  2. Maintain high standards of housekeeping in stores, workshop, and yard.
  3. Receive deliveries, book against purchase orders, and process goods on delivery date. Verify goods, quantities, and quality. Notify suppliers or purchasers of issues and keep records for vendor assessment.
  4. Raise purchase orders.
  5. Dispatch goods as instructed: pick, pack, label, enclose documentation, arrange transport, track, and provide proof of delivery. Resolve missing deliveries.
  6. Issue requisitions from stores and update stock records promptly.
  7. Maintain documentation of stock movements for a suitable period.
  8. Assist with regular stock counts.
  9. Update Dynamics with stock transfers and BIN locations.
  10. Support and promote company policies on Quality and Health & Safety.
  11. Conduct weekly checks of emergency lighting, extinguishers, and racks.
  12. Perform local driving/delivery jobs as required.

Working Hours:

Monday-Thursday 08:00-16:30, Friday 08:00-15:00
