About The Role

The Stores Operator/Driver ensures efficient handling, storage, and distribution of materials, maintaining stock accuracy and supporting logistics operations. The role is vital for operational efficiency, safety, and supply chain effectiveness, supporting wider business activities and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Receipt, storage, pick/pack, and management of goods
• Safe and timely transportation of materials
• Unloading/loading vehicles
• Maintain accurate stock records in the inventory system
• Organize outbound shipments
• Conduct stock counts and participate in stock takes
• Transport materials using company fleet
• Raise purchase orders for shortages
• Collaborate with departments like procurement and project management
• Maintain housekeeping to 5S standards
• Adhere to health and safety protocols, report hazards and incidents, participate in safety training
• Perform related duties as required

Qualifications

Essential

• Full UK driving license
• C1 Drivers License (training available)

Skills

• Good communication and organizational skills
• Proficient in MS Excel and general PC use
• Experience in manufacturing or logistics environment

Desirable

• Experience in similar industry
• Experience as a driver in manufacturing

Personal Attributes

• Right to work in the UK
• Willingness to travel occasionally
• Ability to hold Security Clearance (5 years UK residence)
