Hygiene Cleaning and Store Operative, Sturminster Newton

We have an exciting opportunity for a Hygiene & Store Operative to join our ABP Sturminster team! ABP Sturminster is a small site but part of a large, reputable company.

Reporting to the Technical Manager, your responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness of offices, meeting rooms, canteen, and communal areas to audit standards, managing PPE availability, cleaning, stock management, and ensuring the cleanliness of our communal and dry store areas at all times.

Position Details

• Location: ABP Sturminster - Sturminster Newton, Dorset
• Hours: 40 hours/week, Monday to Friday
• Reporting to: Technical Manager

The Role Involves

Hygiene

• Cleaning offices, meeting rooms, canteen, and communal areas every morning
• Maintaining outside area cleanliness and bin emptying mornings and afternoons
• Refilling soap, sanitizers, face masks dispensers
• Ensuring changing rooms are tidy, clean, and stocked
• Using compactor where applicable

Store Area

• Maintaining a clean, organized store area
• Planning and coordinating stock to enable timely orders
• Restocking PPE and garments in changing rooms
• Checking in received goods, inspecting quality, and recording on paperwork
• Data entry and maintenance of stock control system
• Carrying out stock takes and reporting to management
• Receiving and dispatching garments
• Handling laundry and ensuring garments are clean and intact
• Performing additional tasks as requested by the line manager

Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to follow detailed procedures and a positive attitude
• Adherence to health and safety instructions, including PPE usage
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and maintain stock levels to support production
