Job summary

Holt Recruitment Group Limited is seeking an organized Stores Operative to join a busy manufacturing site in Dorset. The role supports goods-in, stock control, production, and dispatch, with duties spanning goods in/out, inspections, and inventory checks.

The successful candidate will have experience in stores or warehouse roles, strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and stock systems. The assignment runs for six months with potential extension.

Qualifications

• Experience in Stores, Goods-In, Warehouse or Logistics.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Confident using Microsoft Office and stock control systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work across multiple departments.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to changing business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Goods in & out, managing & processing deliveries/ couriers and checking documentation.
• Organising goods-in inspections and ensuring materials are stored correctly.
• Inventory control.
• Picking and issuing materials to production.
• Maintaining accurate stock records and supporting stock takes and inventory checks.
• Liaising with production, planning, purchasing, and quality teams to ensure smooth operations.
