Job summary

Prime Appointments Recruitment Agency in Ipswich is currently recruiting for a Stores Operative to join a busy manufacturing business in Ipswich. This is a long-term, hands-on role with an early finish and overtime available for reliable candidates with stores/warehouse experience.

Working on-site in Ipswich, you will maintain stock records, book goods in and out, manage components and finished products, and help ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse or stores experience is essential.
• Inventory management or stock control experience is highly desirable.
• Strong computer and administration skills.
• Experience using SAP or similar stock management systems would be advantageous.
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Strong understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining accurate stock records and inventory levels
• Booking goods in and out using computerised stock systems
• Managing components, kits, and finished products within the stores department
• Carrying out regular stock checks and reconciliations
• Packing and dispatching completed customer orders
• Ensuring stock movements are accurately recorded at all times
• Supporting on-time delivery of customer orders
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment

Pay: £13.50 - £14.00 p/hour + Overtime

Contract: Temporary ongoing (potential for permanent contract)
