Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is hiring a Stores Operative to support a busy stores operation in Whitefield, Manchester. The role is full-time (40 hours per week) from Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30, with full training provided.

Key duties include receiving and storing deliveries, stock control, and using the inventory system. Applicants should hold a full UK driving licence and a forklift licence where applicable.

Qualifications

• Basic manual handling skills.
• Able to use an inventory system and keep accurate records.
• Proficient with basic IT tasks and stock control processes.
• Full UK driving licence with forklift licence (where applicable).

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and store deliveries.
• Book goods in/out using the inventory system.
• Maintain accurate stock records and generate reports.
• Keep storage areas clean, safe and compliant with Health & Safety standards.
• Support movement, handling and distribution of materials and equipment.
• Assist with deliveries, collections and general labouring duties.
• Support vehicle management activities including checks and admin.
• Follow company policies and safety requirements.
• Be proactive and willing to learn new skills.
• Able to perform manual handling and physical duties.

ROLE: Stores Operative HOURS: Full Time, 40 Hours per Week (Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30) LOCATION: Whitefield, Manchester

We are looking for a Stores Operative to join Vantage Lifting Solutions, part of Mitie Telecoms, supporting the day-to-day running of a busy stores operation in Whitefield, Manchester.

Role Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and safely store deliveries.
• Book goods in and out using the inventory management system.
• Maintain accurate stock records and produce inventory reports.
• Keep storage areas clean, organised and compliant with Health & Safety standards.
• Support the movement, handling and distribution of materials and equipment.
• Assist with deliveries, collections and general labouring duties as required.
• Support vehicle management activities, including vehicle tracking, vehicle checks and administration.
• Follow all company policies, procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
• A positive attitude with a willingness to learn new skills.
• Ability to carry out manual handling and physical duties.
• Basic IT skills to support inventory and stock control processes.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Fork Lift Truck Licence.
