Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is seeking a Stores Operative in Rugby to join a busy stores operation. You will receive, locate, pick and dispatch customer orders while maintaining effective inventory control.

The role requires accuracy, reliability and teamwork, with overtime opportunities and a mid-September start. This gives exposure to a dynamic logistics environment within a well-established organisation.

Qualifications

• Previous stores, warehouse, picking, packing, goods-in or dispatch experience is desirable.
• Reliable work history and strong attendance record.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate counting ability.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including overtime when available.
• Ability to use initiative and consistently produce high-quality work.
• GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in Maths and English would be beneficial but are not essential.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming deliveries.
• Check deliveries to ensure correct items and quantities.
• Enter deliveries onto the inventory management system.
• Label stock correctly and place it in the correct location.
• Pick customer orders accurately and report discrepancies.
• Complete quality checks for correct products and quantities.
• Package orders securely for transportation.
• Operate mechanical equipment safely and per procedures.
• Follow regulations for stock storage and handling.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Support goods-in, picking, packing and dispatch as needed.

Interaction Recruitment is recruiting Stores Operatives on behalf of a well-established technology and logistics organisation based in Rugby.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy stores operation, where you will be responsible for accurately receiving, locating, picking and dispatching customer orders while maintaining effective inventory control.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming deliveries.
• Check deliveries to ensure the correct items and quantities have been received.
• Accurately enter deliveries onto the inventory management system.
• Label stock correctly and place it in the appropriate location.
• Pick customer orders accurately and report any discrepancies.
• Complete quality checks to ensure products and quantities are correct.
• Package orders securely for transportation.
• Operate mechanical equipment safely and in line with company procedures.
• Follow relevant regulations regarding stock storage and product handling.
• Maintain accurate and accessible records.
• Support different functions, including goods-in, picking, packing and dispatch, depending on business requirements.

Physical Requirements

This is a physically active position. You must be comfortable with:

• Standing, walking, bending, lifting, stooping and carrying throughout the shift.
• Working in an environment where temperatures may fluctuate.
• Regularly lifting and carrying items weighing up to 15kg.
• Occasionally lifting and carrying items weighing up to 25kg.
