Job summary

Hunter Selection is seeking an experienced Stores Supervisor for a Royston-based role within a leading manufacturer. You will own stores operations, ensure inventory accuracy and material availability to fully support production, while driving continuous improvement across the warehouse function.

Responsibilities include leading the Stores and Inventory team, managing stock movements, cycle counts, and fostering a safety-first culture.

Qualifications

• Previous Stores, Warehouse or Inventory Supervisor experience.
• Strong stock control and inventory management knowledge.
• Experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• ERP/MRP system experience.
• Strong leadership, organisation and problem-solving skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Stores and Inventory team.
• Maintain accurate stock control, inventory integrity and traceability.
• Manage goods receipt, storage locations and stock movements.
• Oversee cycle counts and investigate stock discrepancies.
• Ensure materials are available to support production schedules.
• Drive warehouse efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Lead daily operational reviews and performance activities.
• Promote a strong safety-first culture across the stores function.
