Manpower, Inc. is seeking a proactive Stores Assistant in Washington, Tyne and Wear to support daily warehouse operations. You will receive, check and store goods, pick and pack, maintain stock records, and help with stock takes in a busy, practical environment.

The role requires accuracy, good numeracy, basic computer skills, and strong teamwork. Shifts run Monday–Thursday early mornings and Friday shorter hours, with responsibilities across general stores duties.

Qualifikationen

• Previous experience in a stores, warehouse, or inventory role (or transferable experience).
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in picking, checking, and record keeping.
• Good numeracy skills for stock counts, basic calculations, and quantity checks.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions clearly and consistently.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety.
• Basic computer literacy for stock systems and record updates.
• Good communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
• Health and safety awareness, including safe manual handling practices.
• Flexibility to work shifts or cover busy periods when required.

Aufgaben

• Receive, check, and store incoming goods in line with company procedures.
• Pick and pack items accurately to support internal requirements and timely dispatch.
• Maintain stock records and ensure inventory is kept up to date.
• Carry out stock checks and assist with stock takes as required.
• Keep the stores area clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
• Label and organise stock correctly to ensure easy identification and efficient retrieval.
• Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or stock issues to the appropriate person.
• Support the wider team with general warehouse and stores duties as needed.
