STORES CONTROLLER

NORWICH

What you will be doing:

An opportunity has arisen for a Stores Controller to join the team at Lintott, a Galliford Try business.

The Stores Controller will work within the Company as part of a Management Development Programme to provide efficient & effective material supply arrangements & stores facilities that support the business in delivering excellent customer service.

  • Control of material storage supply arrangements & facilities, ensuring safe storage and security processes to prevent unauthorized material removal.
  • Develop and maintain the material stock system, ensuring materials meet specifications and stock levels are optimized for usage and cost.
  • Process material requisitions from colleagues using the agreed processes & information systems.
  • Lead annual & periodic material stores & van stock taking activities, presenting outcomes and improvement proposals.
  • Utilize company’s information systems to monitor stock levels and record transactions with suppliers & colleagues.
  • Assist in developing Departmental Plans, ensuring compliance and performance monitoring.
  • Identify risks, areas for improvement, waste, and non-value-added activities; communicate findings promptly.
  • Provide leadership, support, & guidance to subordinates where applicable.
  • Develop and embed knowledge within processes & systems to facilitate decision-making and process harmonization.
  • Maintain strong interpersonal & communication skills to interact professionally with clients and personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with Business Assurance Standards in reporting, documentation, and procedures.
  • Ensure staff safety and a safe working environment.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required, working with colleagues to enhance company performance.
  • Always abide by the Company’s Culture & Values.

About You:

  • Experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
  • Health & Safety awareness.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Word, Spreadsheets, & Databases.
  • Knowledge of Sage Line or Sage.
  • Understanding of Change Management.
