Position Overview

The Visual Merchandiser is responsible for creating an attractive store presentation, from window displays to in-store layouts, to maximize sales and enhance the store's visual impact.

Job Description

1. Implement designs and plans according to the VMG.
2. Organize merchandise in-store to create visual impact and boost sales.
3. Dress mannequins, install window props, and optimize lighting in-store.
4. Monitor window display percentages and sales, adjusting displays accordingly.
5. Ensure best-selling items are front-facing in the store.
6. Maintain visual standards and housekeeping standards.
7. Communicate regularly with the head office, including the Visual Merchandiser Manager and Buyers.
8. Send regular photos of store layout and window displays to the Visual Merchandiser Manager.
9. Coordinate with the stock controller to understand sales performance and stock levels.

Additional duties and responsibilities

1. Participate in store meetings and related functions.
2. Perform housekeeping and maintenance duties as required.
3. Be willing and available to travel and work at different locations as needed.
4. Maintain standards according to job requirements and policies.
5. Complete other duties assigned by management.
6. Work additional hours as necessary.
7. Adhere to procedures for the proper use and care of equipment and materials.
8. Stay informed about fashion trends and techniques.
9. Maintain a positive attitude and abide by the 6 Guess Rules.
10. Be commercially aware, with a focus on sales, to maximize conversion and cross-selling.

13. Retail or fashion experience is desirable.
