Job summary

Marks & Spencer is seeking a strategic transformation leader to drive an efficiency-led agenda across new and renewal stores. You will align Property, Retail, Supply Chain, CIU and Central Functions, embedding a future-fit operating model and delivering measurable value through governance and cross-functional collaboration.

You will own end-to-end sign-off on strategic priorities, ensuring the store design, launch and aftercare deliver operational efficiency and strong commercial performance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex operational transformation across store development, renewal or growth programmes.
• Strong commercial and financial capability including cost-to-serve measurement and benefits realisation.
• Experience defining and governing target operating models, stage gate processes and store design principles.

Responsibilities

• Define and optimise efficiency-led store design, layout and operating model principles across new and renewal stores.
• Establish data-led framework to measure end-to-end cost to serve across operations, supply chain and space planning.
• Set transformation plan, track benefits realisation and ensure delivery against business case commitments.
• Refine pre-AFL framework and develop mitigation plans for stores at risk of CER targets.
• Own end-to-end FH&B stage gate, governance and sign-off processes with milestones and resourcing.
• Define and embed Aftercare and Ready to Renew frameworks for post-launch success.
