Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a Trading Assistant to help stock shelves, assist customers, and maintain a clean, well-presented store. You will learn products, promotions, and store processes while supporting deliveries and day-to-day tasks.

The role offers a fast-paced, high-energy environment with training provided to develop a wide range of skills and a strong customer focus in every shift.

Qualifications

• Customer service mindset and ability to help customers
• Ability to work well in a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail to keep shelves tidy and stocked
• Willingness to work flexible shifts and adapt to store needs
• Comfortable learning and using new digital tools or systems

Responsibilities

• Collect stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG) to replenish items across the store
• Assist customers and proactively offer help to create a positive shopping experience
• Build knowledge of products, services and promotions to offer recommendations
• Date check fresh produce and grocery products
• Support across the store and assist with deliveries as required
