Job summary

B&Q Poole is hiring a Store to Home Picker for part-time shifts. You’ll communicate confidently with customers face to face and over the phone, sharing product knowledge and offering friendly, practical support.

The role involves assisting on the shop floor, enabling a one-hour click and collect service, with opportunities to use new technology and expand skills. Weekend/holiday rotas apply.

Qualifications

• You are an organised and analytical thinker who can prioritise tasks.
• You will handle customer needs on the shop floor and by phone.
• You must be flexible to work weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers on the shop floor and via phone with product knowledge.

Store to Home Picker

Part Time - 15 hours per week

Permanent Contract

Shifts available Saturday 11.30am to 8pm and Sunday 9.30am to 6pm

or

Store to Home Picker

Part Time - 20 hours per week

Permanent Contract

Shifts available Tuesday to Saturday, 4pm - 8pm

UK Notional hourly rate £13.10 per hour

What's the job?

You’re a confident and friendly communicator, comfortable building relationships and sharing product knowledge with customers face to face and over the phone. Efficiency and safety will be vital of course but your real focus will be the customer, either supporting their ideas on the shop floor or working to a one hour click and collect service.

What we need:

You’re an organised and analytical thinker, and you know how to prioritise your time and keep things simple. We provide courier, click and collect and home delivery services and products can range from tins of paint to bags of compost or hot tubs, so you’ll be comfortable with some heavy lifting. Being agile and flexible is important to the success of this role.You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. And you’re flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
