Job summary

Home Bargains is seeking a Store Team Member in the United Kingdom. You will greet customers, help with queries, stock shelves, and support multiple departments from fresh food to garden centre while maintaining high standards.

The role involves shifts including early mornings and weekends, in a fast-paced, friendly environment. As part of a busy team, you will be trained across areas such as tills, cash handling, and store operations.

• Greet customers and provide enthusiastic service across store departments.
• Stock shelves, restock and manage cash transactions at tills as required.
• Unloading deliveries and ensuring the store is clean and well-presented.

Job description

• Be the smile that makes a difference: As a dedicated Store Team Member, you will be the face of Home Bargains, providing enthusiastic customer service by assisting with product queries and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.


• Teamwork makes the dream work: Whether you're watering plants, baking fresh goods, stocking shelves, or keeping displays and workspaces clean, you'll support your team to maintain high standards across the store.


• Keep the momentum going: Take charge during the fill shift by unloading deliveries and swiftly getting stock out on the shelves, making sure everything's ready for our customers to find what they need.


• No two days are the same: You will be trained across multiple areas of the business. Your versatility will shine as you handle tills, manage cash transactions, restock shelves, and adapt to various roles in the Café, Bakery, or Garden Centre.

Retail here is fast-paced and hands-on, with no two days the same. Because our stores are open from 6 am to 10 pm daily, we ask for some flexibility with evenings and weekends - but don't worry, we work hard to balance shifts fairly so everyone gets the time off they need. Every role is part of something bigger, connecting with people and working together as a team.

Package Salary & Hours

• £12.71 per hour (18-20), £13.00 per hour (21+)


• 16 hours per week. Must be available to work between the hours of 5am - 9am

• Full-time employees receive 28 days of annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), increasing to 33 days after 5 years of service. Annual leave is pro-rated for part-time or alternative working arrangements.
