Job summary

Home Bargains is seeking a motivated Store Team Member to deliver warm customer service, assist with queries and maintain a welcoming store atmosphere. You will help stock shelves, manage tills and support a fast-paced retail environment across departments from fresh food to seasonal items.

Ideal candidates show a friendly, proactive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn new tasks. Shifts include evenings and weekends, with a strong emphasis on teamwork and store standards.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of Home Bargains, delivering enthusiastic customer service and helping with product queries.
• Assist with stocking, tills, cash handling and contribute to a clean, welcoming store environment.
• Take charge during fill shifts by unloading deliveries and getting stock on shelves swiftly.
• Gain training across multiple areas (Café, Bakery, Garden Centre) and adapt to different roles.

Job description

• Be the smile that makes a difference: As a dedicated Store Team Member, you will be the face of Home Bargains, providing enthusiastic customer service by assisting with product queries and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
• Teamwork makes the dream work: Whether you're watering plants, baking fresh goods, stocking shelves, or keeping displays and workspaces clean, you'll support your team to maintain high standards across the store.
• Keep the momentum going: Take charge during the fill shift by unloading deliveries and swiftly getting stock out on the shelves, making sure everything's ready for our customers to find what they need.
• No two days are the same: You will be trained across multiple areas of the business. Your versatility will shine as you handle tills, manage cash transactions, restock shelves, and adapt to various roles in the Café, Bakery, or Garden Centre.

Package Salary & Hours

• £12.71 per hour (18-20), £13.00 per hour (21+)
• 16 hours per week. Must be available to work between the hours of 6am - 10am
