Job summary

Home Bargains is seeking a Store Team Member to be the face of the store, delivering enthusiastic customer service, helping with product queries and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

You'll rotate across departments, assist with tills and cash handling, stock shelves, unload deliveries, and support Café, Bakery, or Garden Centre areas. Stores open 6am-10pm with evenings/weekends flexibility; careers with growth in a fast-paced discount retailer.

Job description

• Be the smile that makes a difference: As a dedicated Store Team Member, you will be the face of Home Bargains, providing enthusiastic customer service by assisting with product queries and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.


• Teamwork makes the dream work: Whether you're watering plants, baking fresh goods, stocking shelves, or keeping displays and workspaces clean, you'll support your team to maintain high standards across the store.


• Keep the momentum going: Take charge during the fill shift by unloading deliveries and swiftly getting stock out on the shelves, making sure everything's ready for our customers to find what they need.


• No two days are the same: You will be trained across multiple areas of the business. Your versatility will shine as you handle tills, manage cash transactions, restock shelves, and adapt to various roles in the Café, Bakery, or Garden Centre.

Package Salary & Hours

• £12.71 per hour (18-20), £13.00 per hour (21+)


• 20 hours per week. Must be available to work evenings and weekends

• Full-time employees receive 28 days of annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays), increasing to 33 days after 5 years of service. Annual leave is pro-rated for part-time or alternative working arrangements.
