Job summary

The Job People in Wolverhampton is seeking a Store Person to join their team. The role focuses on accurate order picking, stock checking, and occasional deliveries using a Reach Forklift, on-site for parts required to keep production lines running.

Shifts include morning and afternoon with competitive hourly rates. A valid licence (max 6 points) and forklift experience are essential. Interviews are on-site and immediate start is available with a view to permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Fork Lift Truck Driving - Reach Truck; licences accepted even if expired.
• Valid driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Delivery driving and customer-facing experience.
• Warehouse order picking duties and stock handling.
• Logistics distribution and supply chain background.

Responsibilities

• Accurate order picking of parts and checking items for shipping.
• Wrap/strap pallets and use handheld scanners for verification.
• Load/unload vehicles with FLT within weight limits.
• Check deliveries against paperwork and perform stock counts.
• Deliver to customers and return to site to refresh parts.

Store Person

AM = £13.33 P/H Morning Shift

PM = £14.66 P/H Afternoon Shift

Morning Shift Is 6am to 2:30pm Monday to Thursday , 6am-1pm Friday

Afternoon Shift: Is 2.30pm to 11pm Monday to Thursday ,1pm to 9:30pm Friday

Will be order picking and driving a Reach Fork lift truck - then going off site to make internal deliveries to machine operators to make sure they have enough parts to keep the line working. You will then drive back to site - pick more orders and return back to the factory to refresh the parts to make sure that the line does not stop.

Count the stock - see how many parts are required and then pick the required amount to maintain stock levels

Based in Wolverhampton - immediate start

You will need a valid driving licence for this role

Duties involved for a Store Person

• Accurate order picking of parts for all services (automotive/e-commerce)
• Checking of items for shipping
• Wrapping and strapping of pallets
• Use handheld scanners for picking/storage/delivery verification's
• Load / unload vehicles with FLT ensuring weight limitations are adhered to
• Checking off deliveries to paperwork
• Inspection and cleaning of containers
• Driving company vehicles for deliveries
• Quality inspections/relabelling/repacking tasks
• Handball/pallet offload of sea freight containers
• Perpetual stock counts
• Customer deliveries / collections
• General housekeeping
