The Role and Candidate
We are searching for a Retail Store Manager to lead andoversee operations at our new Leeds store! This is a keyleadership role responsible for managing all aspects of retailoperations and ensuring the sales team provides exceptional customerservice that meets POP MART's standards.
This managementposition requires strong leadership skills, excellent communicationabilities, and a passion for retail management. Your enthusiasm fordesigner toys will make you a competitive candidate. The positionreports to and receives functional guidance from the Area Manager.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspectsof store operations, including sales, customer service, inventorymanagement, and staff supervision
- Develop and implementstrategies to achieve sales targets and improve store performance
- Provide exceptional customer service and resolve anycustomer issues or complaints
- Train, mentor, and supervisethe sales team, ensuring they adhere to company policies andprocedures
- Closely monitor inventory levels and coordinatewith the merchandising team and management for replenishment
- Control stock discrepancy by monitoring inventory levels andimplementing loss prevention measures
- Manage visualmerchandising, ensuring the store's tidiness and cleanliness aremaintained at the highest level
- Oversee cashier pointoperations, including daily opening and closing procedures
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, expectations, andupdates
- Lead recruitment efforts, evaluate potentialcandidate's performance, and train new team members
- Perform administrative tasks such as rota scheduling, payrollmanagement, and sales reporting
- Ensure compliance with allcompany policies, procedures, and relevant regulations
- Beavailable to work flexible hours.
RequiredQualifications
- Proven experience (4+ years) inretail management, preferably in a similar industry
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Retail Management, or arelated field (or equivalent work experience)
- Fluent inprofessional English, with excellent verbal and written communicationskills
- Strong leadership skills with the ability tomotivate and develop a high-performing team
- Proven abilityto develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets andimprove store performance
- Excellent organizational andproblem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
- Proficient in administrative tasks such as rota scheduling, payrollmanagement, and reporting
- Team-oriented with the ability tofoster a positive work environment
- Candidates with lessexperience can also apply for the Assistant Store Manager position
Desirable but Not Essential
- Multi-lingual language ability (Chinese Mandarin is anadvantage but not essential)
- Experience in the toy orcollectibles industry
- Knowledge of visual merchandisingtechniques
- Familiarity with retail management software andpoint-of-sale systems
