Job summary

Angling Direct is seeking a Store Manager for our Grimsby store to lead a team and deliver expert advice and outstanding service to our customers. The role offers a salary of £31,000 per annum and a chance to drive sales and store standards within a thriving angling community.

You will own day-to-day operations, coach staff, and work with the Area Sales Manager to implement strategies that increase traffic and profitability while ensuring Health & Safety and merchandising policies are upheld.

Qualifications

• Passionate anglers with solid fishing product knowledge.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards.
• Experience of working in a retail environment with proven success in leading and motivating teams.
• Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to manage and measure work effectively.
• Team players who are motivated to meet targets and achieve business goals.
• Ability to build effective teams, motivate others and manage conflict with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of the day-to-day operations of the store.
• Lead and develop a team of colleagues to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve business objectives.
• Develop and implement business strategies to increase customer engagement and maximise profitability.
• Meet and exceed sales targets through effective training and mentoring of staff.
• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by maintaining store standards.
• Oversee store administration, including health and safety compliance, banking and merchandising standards.
