Cameron Clarke Associates t/a talent-finder is assisting a bustling coffee shop in Nelson to recruit an experienced Store Manager to lead a team of eight, drive sales and ensure excellent service. The role is 45 hours per week, with varied shifts and weekend work.

As part of the management team you will recruit, train and manage performance, monitor KPIs such as sales, wait times and reviews, and maintain high standards of quality, cleanliness and food safety.

Store Manager | Northlight Brierfield | Full Time | £35,000 per annum

Our client is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Store Manager with warmth, confidence and excellent customer service skills. The successful candidate will be proactive, ready to hit the ground running and motivated to take on the challenge of running an established coffee shop with a strong team in place.

The Role

As Store Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the coffee shop, leading and developing a team of 8 while driving sales, profitability and customer service.

You will work alongside the Assistant Manager and Head Barista as part of the management team, with responsibility for recruitment, training and performance management.

The role is 45 contracted hours per week, with varied shifts Monday to Sunday. The store opening hours are:

• Monday to Friday: 7:00 am-6:00 pm
• Saturday: 7.30 am-6:00 pm
• Sunday: 8:00 am-5:00 pm

Early starts, closing shifts and weekend work are shared fairly amongst the management team. Bank Holiday working is required, with flexibility around the rota provided the needs of the business are met.

Key Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the coffee shop
• Lead, motivate and manage a team of 8
• Recruit, train and manage the performance of team members
• Work alongside the Assistant Manager and Head Barista
• Drive sales and profitability
• Monitor and achieve key KPIs including net sales, year-on-year growth, product availability, customer reviews and wait times
• Maintain product availability at 98.5%
• Maintain a customer review target of 4.75 stars
• Maintain a target wait time of 3 minutes
• Deliver excellent customer service and professionally handle customer complaints and escalations
• Ensure high standards of quality, cleanliness and food safety are maintained
• Manage stock ordering and availability
• Create and manage staff rotas to meet the needs of the business
• Motivate the team and maintain high levels of staff engagement
• Ensure the store operates efficiently during busy periods
• Work flexibly across opening, closing, weekend and Bank Holiday shifts as required

• Previous management experience within the coffee or food service industry
