Job summary

Pets at Home in Hertford is seeking a Store Manager to lead our busy pet care centre. You’ll report to the Area Manager and take full responsibility for daily operations, driving sales and KPIs while delivering an outstanding shopping experience for customers and their pets.

With at least 2 years of retail management, you will manage a team of 10+, work a 7-day pattern including weekends and bank holidays, undergo 6 months of comprehensive training, and ensure health and safety compliance.

What’s the role?

We’re looking for a Store Manager to lead our team in Hertford. Reporting directly to the Area Manager, you’ll take full responsibility for the daily running of your pet care centre, driving sales and performance while ensuring an exceptional shopping experience for our customers.

• Overseeing all aspects of daily operations, from stock control to store standards.

Who are we looking for?

• A passion for retail and a proven track record of delivering excellent results.
• Flexibility to work a 7-day shift pattern, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to engage and motivate your team.
• A willingness to complete 6 months of comprehensive training covering customer service, pet care, and health & safety.
