Job summary

Tesco is seeking a Maintenance Technician to cover Shepton Mallet, Yeovil and surrounding areas. You’ll carry out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of systems and equipment to keep stores safe, functional and welcoming for customers and colleagues.

This hands-on role requires a proactive mindset and strong problem‑solving skills. You’ll be supported with ongoing training and opportunities to grow your career within one of the UK’s best‑known retail brands.

Qualifications

• Experience in a maintenance, engineering or construction environment.
• Digitally confident using a tablet to view daily work schedules and manage emails.
• Full driving license and health & safety awareness are essential.
• Clear communication and collaboration with teams and contractors.

Responsibilities

• Confidently interact with external contractors and coordinate repairs.
• Work collaboratively with the team to deliver quality service.
• Maintain high energy levels while juggling tasks.
• Assist the management team to keep stores operating smoothly.
• Minimise customer disruption by coordinating repairs with minimal impact.
