Job summary

Marks & Spencer is seeking an experienced Store Manager to lead a large team in a fast-paced retail environment in the UK. You will own the full store operation, deliver against the retail plan, and create a customer-first shopping experience while developing colleagues.

You will set strategy, drive performance across commercial, operations and visuals, and coach managers to build a high‑performing culture that adapts to change and delivers results.

Qualifications

• Proven track record leading large retail teams.
• Strong ability to set and communicate store strategy.
• Experience using data and insights to drive profit and service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the full retail plan across the store, driving commercial, operational, visual and people performance to achieve key metrics.
• Set strategy and direction for the store, ensuring every colleague knows their part and is held to account for delivering it.
• Own the change agenda by landing transformation initiatives with clarity, urgency and pace.
• Build a high‑performance culture by coaching managers, growing talent, and creating an engaging store environment.
• Use data and insight to unlock opportunities, making fast, confident decisions that improve service and boost efficiency.
• Drive digital adoption and omnichannel capability to sell across platforms and channels.
• Be the voice of your store, representing your people and following through on needed improvements.
• Create an exceptional customer journey through consistent standards and inspiring visual merchandising.
