Job description

Astute People's Power Team is exclusively working with the South Clyde Energy Centre to recruit a full team of Operations & Maintenance staff. The plant, currently under construction, is capable of processing up to 350,000 tonnes of waste per year, producing power for up to 70,000 homes. This new build Power Station is scheduled to enter commercial operation by the end of 2026. Now is an ideal time to join the power station, as you'll be involved in full plant commissioning, training, and mobilisation.

Position: Store Controller

We are seeking a Store Controller responsible for managing stores, stock items, the computerized stock control system, and purchasing goods and services as directed by the procurement and maintenance departments.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Manage the stores team to ensure stock items, goods in/out, and the stock control system are correctly managed and updated.
2. Carry out purchasing activities as needed to maintain appropriate stock levels and minimize downtime during maintenance.
3. Liaise with technicians, engineers, and external customers/suppliers to identify requirements and order supplies.
4. Ensure adherence to the maintenance budget and plan for future purchases.
