Job summary

JD GROUP in Gateshead is seeking a Store Colleague to deliver outstanding customer experiences daily. You’ll greet customers, keep displays sharp, replenish stock, and maintain high standards of service and presentation on the shop floor.

In a fast-paced retail environment, you’ll work with a supportive team to help customers choose products, use in-store systems, process transactions, and follow health and safety procedures. A proactive attitude and willingness to learn are key to success.

Qualifications

• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to adapt communication style to different customers.
• Willingness to learn company processes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a positive and welcoming experience for customers, providing support and product information where required.
• Responsible for achieving team sales objectives by identifying customer needs, recommending suitable products, and promoting complementary items.
• Maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Maintain high standards of presentation across the shop floor, ensuring fixtures, displays, and stock areas are clean, organised, and well maintained.
• Replenish stock and ensure products are available and correctly displayed in line with company standards.
• Complete operational tasks including processing transactions, cash handling, stock processing, and preparing deliveries.
• Use in-store technology and systems to support customer enquiries and daily store operations.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements at all times.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the effective day-to-day running of the store.
• Support with additional duties and tasks, as reasonably required.
