Job summary

Curo Services is seeking a Storage & Backup Engineer for a 120-day contract based in Edinburgh. The role operates in a hybrid setup (1 to 2 days on site) with an ASAP start, focusing on BAU backup operations and enterprise storage management.

Candidates should have operational experience in backup technologies such as Avamar, NetBackup, and Storage Protect/Plus, and be comfortable handling ServiceNow and ADO tickets while driving automation improvements.

Responsibilities

• Work as an operational team member in the backup team.
• BAU operations (daily checks and manual backup refreshes).
• Maintaining directory structures and DFS of enterprise storage.
• Supporting Storage and backup related aspects of any Digital Solutions projects ongoing.
• Process Service Now tickets and ADO tickets.
• Supporting delivery activities as needed.
• Responding to service failures.
• Improving the service and introducing automation where possible.

Our enterprise client is looking for a Storage & Backup Engineer to join their team.

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 120 days
Pay Rate: £591.32p/d (PLEASE NOTE: Employer NI is paid for by the client)
Total Daily Earnings: £671.38 (includes rolled up holiday)
IR35 Status: Inside
Location: Edinburgh/Hybrid (1 to 2 days a week onsite)
NOTE: Active SC Clearance is highly desirable

Key Responsibilities:
