Job summary

Gunwharf Quays Limited in Portsmouth is seeking a Stockroom Assistant to support all stockroom operations and help the store deliver excellent service to customers. Your focus will be on keeping stockflow smooth and merchandise organized.

You will handle receipt, opening, unpacking and issuing stock to the sales floor, run regular inventory counts and assist in resolving stock issues. The ideal candidate is service-minded, reliable and familiar with retail systems and barcode scanners.

Qualifications

• Experience with retail operating systems.
• Able to handle PC and barcode scanners.
• Experience receiving, inspecting and stocking merchandise.
• Familiar with stockroom processes and safety standards.

Overview

We are looking for a service-minded, committed and ambitious Stockroom Associate for our store in Gunwharf Quays. Your primary task will be to support all stockroom operations to drive commercial success as well as to be able to give our customers the best advice and service, and to ensure that the store is always presentable.

Requirements

As a Stockroom Associate, you will support all stockroom operations to drive commercial success and support product flow between the stockroom and sales floor.

• Successful candidate has proven ability to work with retail operating systems, handle the PC and scanning equipment and insuring compliance with safety standards.
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: comparing merchandise invoices to items received to ensure that shipments are correct, receiving, opening, unpacking and issuing sales floor merchandise, conducting regular inventory counts, assisting in resolving issues related to inventory and shipments.
