Job summary

Workforce Staffing in Redditch is hiring Stock Take Operatives for AM and PM shifts. You will carry out daily stock takes using a designated app, record quantities in kilograms, and check inventory accuracy in a chilled environment.

No previous stock control experience is required as full training is provided. You will support stock rotation, monitor use-by dates, and help prepare production lines for a smooth shift workflow, with 3–4 hours of stock-taking per day.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Comfortable using a handheld app or device.
• Organised and able to work independently.
• Reliable and punctual; previous stock control is beneficial but not essential.
• Comfortable working in chilled temperatures of 6-8°C and freezer environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily stock takes using a designated app.
• Record stock quantities and weights accurately in kilograms.
• Check stock levels and ensure inventory records are precise.
• Monitor use-by dates and identify expired products.
• Support stock rotation and use older stock first.
• Alert production if newer stock is used while older stock remains.
• Assist with preparation duties and keep chilled storage areas clean.
• Complete stock takes for about 3-4 hours per day.
