Job description

Job Title: Stock Controller

We are excited to be growing our team with a new Stock Controller at our Carver and Co Depot, part of Sysco GB in Wigan. The role involves planning and managing stock levels for multi-temp products across various categories and locations. You will collaborate with multiple departments, including the chilled production unit and office, to support business targets.

Key daily responsibilities include:

1. Checking that physical stock matches system quantities to support the Butchery Supervisor in reviewing product ranges and ensuring stock levels meet customer demand.
2. Ensuring all team members follow quality standards to comply with ISO, BRC, and FSA regulations.
3. Managing inventory accurately through full stock counts and reports, working within a FIFO methodology.
4. Collaborating with Warehouse Goods In/Out teams to prevent shortages and ensure efficient unloading and storage of stock.
5. Performing quality control inspections for damage and compliance with safety standards.
6. Investigating stock discrepancies and variances as part of quality control and waste management.

This is a dynamic role where no two days are the same!

Candidate Requirements

We welcome candidates experienced in operating a counterbalance FLT. A valid FLT certificate is preferred; refresher training can be provided if needed. Attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential to maintain accurate stock levels. The ideal candidate will be reliable, flexible, and safety-conscious, understanding the importance of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
