Job summary

Huws Gray Group's Southwark Partnering Store in London is seeking a Stock Controller to oversee stock records, ensure deliveries are on time and keep stock movements efficient across the site. You’ll manage stock levels, conduct regular checks, and work with suppliers to reorder as needed.

The role requires confidence with stock control and inventory systems, a good head for numbers and solid attention to detail. You’ll use inventory software and MS Office daily and thrive in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep stock records up to date and carry out regular stock checks.
• Carry out van stock checks, audits and sort mismatches.
• Stock ordering and management of stock levels and profiles.
• Work closely with the team to keep stock moving on time.
• Update inventory systems and pull together reports as needed.
• Spot and flag issues like missing items, damage or stock errors.
• Help plan reordering and liaise with suppliers to resolve.
• Keep stock area tidy, safe and well-organised.
• Support safe working practices when handling stock.

We are looking for a Stock Controller to join our team at Huws Gray Southwark Partnering Store (SE16 2DB)

If you’re in the trade or have ever tackled a home improvement project, you’ve probably heard of us. Our Partnering Stores exclusively serve one customer, and we have a mix of stock in all of our partnering sites to support them with projects in their areas. Our stores ensure they get what they need, on time, every time.

We’relooking for anorganised Stock Controllerto help keep things running smoothly. You’ll be the go-to person forkeeping track of stock, making sure deliveries are on point, and helping everything move efficiently across the site.

WhatYou’llBeDoing:

• Keeping stock records up to date andaccurate andcarrying out regular stock checks to ensure stock accuracy
• Carrying out regular van stock checks, auditsand sorting out any mismatches.
• Stock ordering and management of stock levels and profiles
• Working closely with theteam to keep stock moving smoothly and on time.
• Updating inventory systems and pulling together reports when needed.
• Spotting and flagging any issues like missing items, damage, or stock errors.
• Helping plan what needs reordering and chatting with suppliers to get it sorted.
• Keeping the stock area tidy, safe, and well-organised.
• Supporting safe working practices when handling stock.
• Supporting the wider team in day-to-day tasks

We are looking for someonewho’sconfident with stock control andinventorysystems andideally someone withexperience in a similar environment.You’llneed a good head for numbers, solid attention to detailand be comfortable using inventory software and Microsoft Office.
