Job summary

SRS Recruitment Solutions in Suffolk is seeking a STOCK CONTROLLER to manage timber inventories, track stock levels and ensure orders are fulfilled accurately.

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will work with yard staff, carry out stock checks, coordinate inbound deliveries and maintain safety in a busy warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in inventory management, stock control and warehouse environment.
• Proficiency in stock management software, IT & systems.
• Understanding of logistics, vendor management and order fulfillment process.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Confident and professional telephone manner.
• Excellent communication skills are essential for client interaction.
• Customer focused with sound commercial skills.
• Good IT skills & PC literate and experience with Microsoft Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Inventory Tracking, monitor stock movements and update digital database.
• Goods inbound & quality checks, inspect incoming timber deliveries against orders, check for damages.
• Carry out regular stock physical checks and cycle counts to resolve discrepancies.
• Yard Co-ordination, work along with yard staff to ensure Timber is safely stacked & labeled.
• Ensure Health & Safety procedures, enforce secure stacking methods and general warehouse and yard safety, maintain compliance with site safety.
• Deal with vendors, track shipment statuses and arrange returns for faulty items.

STOCK CONTROLLER - TIMBER & BUILDERS MERCHANT- SUFFOLK

Job Description

SRS Recruitment are one of the UK leading Construction Products Recruiters and due to expansion our client is seeking a STOCK CONTROLLER to be based in their offices in Suffolk and we are delighted to be assisting them in their search. Ideally you would experience in inventory management, stock control and working an in a warehouse environment.

Reporting to: MANAGING DIRECTOR

The company has been a trusted supplier of high-quality imported timber products to the UK Merchant sector for over 50 years. Working along with your team you will manage Timber inventories, track all stock levels and ensure all materials match customer orders and goods leave the yard undamaged. You will track stock levels and ensure that supplies are sufficient to meet customer demands.

Key Responsibilities as STOCK CONTROLLER

• Inventory Tracking, monitor stock movements and update digital database.
• Goods inbound & quality checks, inspect incoming timber deliveries against orders, check for damages.
• Carry out regular stock physical checks and cycle counts to resolve discrepancies.
• Yard Co-ordination, work along with yard staff to ensure Timber is safely stacked & labeled.
