Castleford| Full- time | Permanent work| Shifts either 08:00-17:00 or 11:00-20:00

About The Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Stock Control Coordinator to join our Castleford warehouse team. In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining stock accuracy, supporting inventory processes, and ensuring our warehouse operations run efficiently.

This is a hands-on, warehouse-based role and not a desk-based position. You'll spend the majority of your time on the warehouse floor carrying out stock counts, investigating discrepancies, moving and handling stock, and supporting day-to-day inventory activities.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Inventory Control Operative, your key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out daily cycle counts and processing any required re-checks
• Training and coaching warehouse colleagues on cycle count processes
• Supporting periodic full-site stock counts and subsequent rechecks
• Determining suitable stock locations using product velocity reports
• Relocating non-conforming stock using bin location reports
• Supporting the removal and investigation of damaged or non-conforming goods
• Investigating and resolving warehouse stock discrepancies and customer shipping issues
• Carrying out stock rotations as requested by Product Managers
• Working closely with warehouse teams to improve stock accuracy and operational efficiency

What We're Looking For

Skills & Experience:

• Experience of stock counting and inventory control processes
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, ideally within an electronics, distribution or FMCG environment
• Strong numerical and analytical skills
• Experience using ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (HighJump preferred)
• Good understanding of Excel, including data analysis and reporting
• Awareness of the financial impact of stock accuracy and stock loss
