Job summary

CMS Distribution in Castleford is seeking a Stock Control Coordinator to maintain stock accuracy on the warehouse floor. You will perform daily cycle counts, investigate discrepancies and support day-to-day inventory activities to keep operations efficient.

Ideal candidates will have experience with stock counting, warehouse operations, and ERP/WMS systems, with strong numerical skills and attention to detail. This is a hands-on role with room for growth within the CMS Distribution network.

Qualifications

• Experience of stock counting and inventory control processes.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, ideally within an electronics, distribution or FMCG environment.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Experience using ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (HighJump preferred).
• Good understanding of Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
• Awareness of the financial impact of stock accuracy and stock loss.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out daily cycle counts and processing any required re-checks.
• Training and coaching warehouse colleagues on cycle count processes.
• Supporting periodic full-site stock counts and subsequent rechecks.
• Determining suitable stock locations using product velocity reports.
• Supporting the removal and investigation of damaged or non-conforming goods.
• Investigating and resolving warehouse stock discrepancies and customer shipping issues.
• Carrying out stock rotations as requested by Product Managers.
• Working closely with warehouse teams to improve stock accuracy and operational efficiency.
