Job summary

AGH Solutions Ltd is seeking a Stock Controller and Workshop Support operative to ensure efficient ordering, storage, control and distribution of parts, equipment and consumables within the wheelchair servicing workshop. You will support workshop technicians by maintaining accurate stock levels, managing deliveries and billing, and keeping workshop and service vans well stocked, safe and tidy.

The role also involves informing Trust specialists on timelines and progress of parts acquisition,

Qualifications

• Experience in stock control within a workshop environment.
• Ability to maintain accurate stock levels and consistent records.
• Familiarity with parts, equipment and consumables used in mobility engineering.

Responsibilities

• Order and manage parts, equipment and consumables for the workshop.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and control inventory.
• Manage deliveries and related billing.
• Keep workshop and service vans stocked, safe and tidy.
• Inform Trust specialists on timelines and progress of parts acquisition.
• Support Mobility Engineers and assist in day‑to‑day operations.
• Assist Facilities Manager to improve procedures and stock control service.
• Identify savings opportunities and monitor progress.
• Maintain health and safety and fire safety compliance in the workshop.

Job description

The Stock Controller and Workshop Support operative is responsible for ensuring the efficient ordering, storage, control, and distribution of parts, equipment, and consumables within the wheelchair servicing workshop. The role supports workshop technicians by maintaining accurate stock levels, managing deliveries and billing, and keeping the workshop and service vans well stocked, safe and tidy, and informing Trust specialists on timelines and progress of parts acquisition.

To support the day to day running of the Mobility Engineering team.

To ensure that orders for goods and services are placed and delivered in a timely manner in accordance with procedures.

To Assist the Facilities Manager to develop, implement and improve working methodologies and procedures in order to maintain service delivery.

To Assist the Facilities Manager in creating a culture which will ensure the delivery of a professional Stock Control service which will be fit for purpose.

Support work towards identification of savings opportunities monitoring and reporting progress as required.

To maintain the workshop and storage areas in compliance with Health and Safety and Fire Officer guidance.

To support the Mobility Engineers by maintaining an efficient working environment and stock management system.
