Job summary

Daniel Owen Ltd in Oxfordshire is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor with a strong background in Social Housing or Local Authority property portfolios to lead stock condition surveys and defect diagnosis.

You will produce robust technical and legal reports, prepare specifications and cost estimates, and liaise with housing teams, legal teams and contractors to support maintenance and asset management programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience surveying social housing or local authority properties.
• Expertise in stock condition, disrepair, repairs, voids and refurbishment.
• Ability to produce robust technical and legal reports.

Responsibilities

• Undertake stock condition surveys and property inspections.
• Assess disrepair, repairs, voids and general property condition.
• Prepare clear technical and legal reports for use in disputes.
• Identify defects and recommend remedial works and maintenance solutions.
• Prepare specifications, schedules of works and cost estimates.
• Inspect works and liaise with contractors and housing teams.
