Job summary

Booker Group is seeking a Stock and Administration Clerk to maintain stock accuracy for fresh, chilled, frozen and ambient products while handling department administration. You will also support the Warehouse team as required and work with Senior Operations Clerks and the Stock Manager to ensure paperwork is accurate and goods are received properly.

Qualifications

• High accuracy data entry with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organisation skills.
• Experience in stock administration or warehouse operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Releasing Daily Pick – data entry skills required.
• Manage product shelf life.
• Verification of stock including correct pack sizes, quantity, price, and best-before dates.
• Managing returns to suppliers/depots.
• Promote good relations with external and internal suppliers.
• React effectively to sales fluctuations, seasonal changes, and supply problems to minimise out-of-stock lines.
• Maintain extensive communication channels between suppliers, managers, in-house colleagues and external depots.
• Take an active role in depot stock takes.
• Produce and monitor key performance indicators.
• Ensure correct stock balance across all temperature zones in the warehouse.
• Escalate supplier issues to Stock Manager for substitutions.
• Manage slow-moving products and removals of delisted products.
• Support Stock Control Manager to meet service level targets.
• Train administrative staff to cover during holidays.
• Produce daily, weekly and periodic reports.
