Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is recruiting a Sterile Services Assistant to support the new Sterile Services Department at Stoke Mandeville Hospital. You will handle critical medical devices used in surgery and participate in the complete decontamination/sterilisation cycle, with training provided and opportunities to learn about HTM01-01 and ISO13485 standards.

Qualifications

• Training on the complete decontamination/ sterilisation cycle will be provided.
• Training including HTM01-01 and ISO13485 may be undertaken.
• Previous Sterile Services experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Handle medical devices essential to surgical teams and patient care.
• Participate in on-call duties once trained.
• Maintain records of instrumentation and update data entry.
• Maintain knowledge of instruments across surgical specialties.
