Job summary

Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital in Warwickshire is seeking a Sterile Services Process Technician - Decontamination to join the Warwick HSSU team. You will learn to dismantle, prepare and sterilise reusable medical instruments for patients, ensuring compliance with our policies.

Full training is provided, with shifts that include unsocial hours. You will work with a cooperative team, be computer literate and contribute to maintaining a clean, organised work area while following safety

Qualifications

• Experience in a sterile services environment is preferred but training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work as part of a team.
• Good computer literacy and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, prepare and sterilise medical instruments for Theatre Surgery.
• Inspect and maintain instruments to high standards.
• Keep equipment in good working order and report faults.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Handle manual handling upto 13kg.

£25,038 per annum

As a Sterile Services Process Technician at our Warwick HSSU,

You will learn how to dismantle, prepare, and sterilise re-usable medical Instruments ready for our patients in our Nuffield Hospitals.

You will need to be organised with good communication skills – and ideally, you’re able to show evidence of sterile services training however this is not essential, full training will be provided.

As a Decontamination Process Technician, you will:

• Dismantle and prepare and sterilise Medical Instruments ready for Theatre Surgery
• Inspect and maintain instruments to a high standard
• Help to ensure all equipment is in good working order
• Regularly check medical equipment for damage and report any faults
• Work with a strong friendly team
• Take on training as required
• Be computer literate
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
• Take action to resolve any problems
• Escalate issues where necessary
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with our policies and procedures
• Handle manual handling duties up to @13kg.
• Have strong attention to detail and an overarching desire to deliver a high quality service.
