Job summary

East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an experienced manager for the Sterile Services Department to organise personnel, plant and resources to meet current and future needs for decontamination and sterilisation of surgical equipment.

The postholder will lead a team, manage projects, and ensure high service standards while complying with DBS checks for safeguarding vulnerable groups.

Qualifications

• Experience in Sterile Services or equivalent NHS setting is desirable.
• Ability to lead and develop teams with line management responsibility.
• Skilled in product and service design, including data management.
• Able to manage and deliver project objectives.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of the Sterile Services Department to meet the Trust and stakeholders.
• Oversee decontamination and sterilisation of surgical equipment to required standards.
