Job summary

Nuffield Health in Warwick HSSU is seeking a Sterile Services Process Technician to dismantle, prepare and sterilise reusable medical instruments for theatre surgery.

You will work in a busy team, maintain instruments to a high standard and keep accurate records. Full training will be provided; prior sterile services experience is desirable, and you must be organised with good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Experience in a sterile services environment is desirable; full training provided.
• Organised with good communication skills.
• Able to handle manual handling duties up to 13kg.
• Able to maintain records and be computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Dismantle, prepare and sterilise medical instruments for theatre surgery.
• Inspect and maintain instruments to a high standard.
• Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report faults.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with policies.

Sterile Services Process Technician -Decontamination Warwick HSSU | Sterile Services | Permanent | Full Time | £25,038 per annum 37.5 hours a week unsocial hours enhancements various shifts

As a Sterile Services Process Technician at our Warwick HSSU, You will learn how to dismantle, prepare, and sterilise re-usable medical Instruments ready for our patients in our Nuffield Hospitals. You will need to be organised with good communication skills – and ideally, you’re able to show evidence of sterile services training however this is not essential, full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Dismantle and prepare and sterilise Medical Instruments ready for Theatre Surgery
• Inspect and maintain instruments to a high standard
• Help to ensure all equipment is in good working order
• Regularly check medical equipment for damage and report any faults
• Work with a strong friendly team
• Take on training as required
• Be computer literate
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment
• Take action to resolve any problems
• Escalate issues where necessary
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with our policies and procedures
• Handle manual handling duties up to @13kg.
