Job summary

ASVA: Association of Scottish Visitor Attractions seeks an Evaluation Consultant for the Sail the Future – STEM at Sea project aboard The Tall Ship Glenlee in Glasgow. The role focuses on designing and delivering the evaluation framework and reporting to funders.

Work will involve collaboration with schools, engineers and museum staff to measure reach, outcomes and impact, ensuring GDPR compliance and robust reporting for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience evaluating STEM, education, heritage or public engagement projects.
• Experience designing mixed‑method evaluation frameworks.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills.
• Experience working with schools and young people.
• Knowledge of ethical evaluation practice and GDPR requirements.
• Ability to produce clear, professional reports for funders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement an evaluation plan for Sail the Future – STEM at Sea.
• Collect and analyse data from students, teachers and engineers.
• Prepare reports and recommendations for funders and partners.
• Coordinate with the Tall Ship Glenlee Learning team and engineers.
• Ensure ethical standards and GDPR compliance throughout.
