Job summary

Tata Steel is seeking a Manufacturing Team Member for its Shotton works. The role covers Profiles and Composites duties, with various shift patterns and an initial 3-month contract that may extend or become permanent.

The position requires manual handling experience, strong health and safety awareness, and the ability to work across different shifts. The role offers competitive pay and a pathway to permanent opportunities within a steel processing environment.

Qualifications

• Driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Previous experience in a role requiring manual handling.
• Experience within a construction, manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
• Ability to be on your feet for the majority of the day.
• Ability to conduct manual handling, bending and lifting safely.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work within the profiles remit, supporting the team with manual handling duties.
• Unload and load steel.
• Follow management instructions for moving and handling steel.
• Maintain a safe working area in line with UK Health and Safety legislation and operate processing machines.
• Clear areas within the department and ensure a clean, safe workspace for all.
• Contribute to improvement initiatives and personal development.
• Adhere to plant procedures and PPE instructions at all times.
