Job summary

ASC Connections Ltd is recruiting a Steel Operative / Bander / Counterbalance Forklift Driver for an internationally trading steel processing company in the Willenhall/Wednesfield area. Temp-to-perm role.

You will operate counterbalance forklifts, band steel, and support processing lines. Three 12-hour shifts: Tue, Wed and Thu 6:00am-6:00pm, 36 hours weekly. Pay starts at £12.71 per hour on days.

Qualifications

• Counterbalance forklift experience required.
• Experience in a steel processing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Band steel and prepare for processing using banders.
• Operate counterbalance forklift trucks to move steel.
• Assist with back-end processing lines (e.g., slitting).

Job description

A Steel Operative / Bander / Counterbalance Forklift Driver is required for an internationally trading steel processing company based in the Willenhall / Wednesfield area on a temp to perm basis.

For this role you will need Counterbalance Forklift experience and to have worked within a steel processing environment.

If you have experience within the steel industry this FLT driver position could be ideal for you.

You will be responsible for the banding up of steel and operating counterbalance forklift trucks to handle steel, amongst other duties.

Duties include;

• Working on the back end of processing lines, e.g. Slitters
• Banding up of processed steel
• Using manual and air banders
• Driving counterbalance forklift trucks

This role is working three 12-hour days per week;

6:00am - 6:00pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

36 hours per week across three days per week.

The pay rate is starting at £12.71 per hour on days.

Temp-to-perm.
