Job summary

Aspirare Recruitment is seeking an experienced Steel Fitter to join a major commercial project in Glasgow. The role involves installing steel staircases, balustrades, handrails and other architectural metalwork on site, reading drawings and supporting all aspects of steel erection.

The candidate should have proven fitting experience, be able to interpret technical drawings, and possess CSCS and strong safety awareness on large-scale commercial projects in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience fitting staircases, balustrades and handrails from technical drawings.
• Experience using hand and power tools for installation work.
• CSCS card and strong site safety awareness are essential.

Responsibilities

Steel Fitter / Architectural Metalwork Fitter

We are currently recruiting an experienced Steel Fitter to join a major commercial project in Glasgow.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation of steel staircases, balustrades, handrails and associated architectural metalwork, working from technical drawings and supporting all aspects of steel erection on site.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience fitting staircases, balustrades and handrails
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience using hand and power tools for installation work
• Skilled in aligning, fitting and tightening bolted connections
• CSCS Card essential
• Strong site safety awareness
• Experience working on large commercial construction projects
